Discoveries

I have quite a few things to share with you; new things, free things and a collection of items found at the bottom of my closet :D. First up are the Bandaid Tattoos from Blue Blood. Most have cutie designs such as a heart or bunny or panda. I of course prefer the plain one called "clean". Viewer 2 tattoos, they work over your skin, a fun addition to a themed photo shoot. I have a segue for the tattoo, but first I want to tell you about all the furniture I found hiding in the deep recesses of my inventory.

It wasn't really hiding of course; I had packed it safely away and then forgotten it was there. Inventory control and management is indeed the final frontier.  The story goes ---

Long ago (in SL terms) I did a feature on the new UrbanizeD collection and sim reopening. I had a great time wandering the sim and trying out the furniture. The flowers were a big hit also. At that time pitsch Parx, designer for UranizeD, gave me a blogger pack of some of the Frozen set. I opened it when I finished the post, admired it and promptly packed it away as I was prim challenged at the time, with no room for new additions.

Fast forward to yesterday when I decided to redo the gallery a bit, taking out my blogger office and building an open air cupola above the gallery. I love my little skybox, all cozy and comfy, but sometimes you just need those open vistas, waves and virtual breezes.

Building completed, I delved into my inventory to see what might work in the new space. And what did I find but a big set from the Frozen Collection. Now I had both prims to spare and time to play -- and play I did. I had NO IDEA (silly me) how many combination choices there were to the furniture. In the past, I  evidently found the pose menus and not the texture menus. Oh my! So many texture choices for fabric, wood, doilies, metal trim -- I spent a very long time playing. All fun.

These are my selections of the moment. I can change them with a couple of clicks of course. The fine textures are muted light neutrals. A mint green and blush pink find their way into the mix now and then, but light gray predominates -- hence the icy theme name. I still have accessories to add, some plants here and there for touches of color -- a book or two, but I wanted you to see the beginnings.

The Frozen collection is also available at the new SL Home and Garden shopping sim.  See, I actually DO read those announcements and notecards *wink*.

And here is my Bandaid tie in --

Most of you have seen the new group gift from LP2 interior.  After losing my palm trees, getting them back and losing them again (this time my fault), I decided minimalist was a good landscaping plan. I add more of those gorgeous red maple trees I told you about and an Oriental theme seemed to emerge. But another accent of red couldn't hurt (that is a lot of empty beige sand), so I ventured over to the furnishing store to see about that jet ski.

Now I don't join groups just for gifts; I need to actually want to get those notices *wink*. But I looked around the store, liked what I saw and clicked on the joining poster.

To be honest what REALLY pushed me over into the joining side of the ledger was the darling paint can and brush, which I am guessing was the last group gift. I looked everywhere for something like this when I was redecorating. What a fun prop!

So, if you go over to join and pick up the jet ski, be sure and look on the other side of the poster for this paint can. You never know when the remodeling bug will bite you.

It turns out that the jet ski is easier to drive than my motorcycles -- or perhaps I am finally getting the hang of it. Either way, I may not need that Blue Blood bandaid, but you really never know.
