Endings - OS Grid and other favorites
Some of you have been to the OS Grid -- a giant octopus of independent sites along with a core. There have been good honest folks there and some not so much over the years. When I was in Opensim learning my mesh skills it was a great place for testing. They had the newest tech on one of the sandboxes.
Many good thing come to an end both here and in the corporeal world. It seems these days it is as much about retirement (we are ALL older now) as it is about economics. I guess that is a good thing and I wish all of the folks -- real and digital -- the best in new endeavors, even it it is only drinking umbrella drinks by the pool or ocean.
There is a long forum thread and it appears that the OS grids issue is "solvable" but with a hole lot of work. Folks interested can find the thread pretty easily if they want more details.
