Mirror Worlds
In many ways Second Life is a mirror of our corporeal versions -- reflections of each other. Not the same of course for most of us anyway. Chic is about a foot taller than her worldly counterpart; thinner and currently has no bad hair days. But at a more basic level we are the same. Same values. Same needs. Same modes of getting through the years as our best possible selves.
Long ago someone wrote (most likely on the forums but I don't remember clearly) that folks try to deceive themselves with roleplay but in the end "Don't kid yourself - the person in the dungeon torturing the slave IS you". I try heartily not to kid myself and definitely stay away from dungeons.
Currently there seems to be a theme wafting through the worlds -- one of not taking responsibility. Blaming events and disappointments on others is simply easier and less painful. But the questions to ask ourselves revolve around the fairness of that method.
In Second Life terms -- "Did I really lose that gacha or did I just rename it and store it in an odd folder or pick it up as part of a coalesced object?". "Is the sim designed badly or do I have my viewer settings messed up?". "Are the LODs really that bad or did I forget that I used zoom settings when taking a screenshot?".
Try a different viewer, ask an inworld friend if they are seeing the same thing you are --- run a utilities program to fix any OS update issues.
Sometimes it IS them; sometimes it is only US.
