The Red Couch
Today I made a couch.
In 1979 German born Horst Wackerbarth and his American friend Kevin Clarke embarked on a journey to compile a subjective photographic portrait of the United States. The resulting book entitled The Red Couch - A Portrait of America tells the pictorial story of of their journey measuring the pulse of the United States in that era. Read more here.
On January 1st I will begin my own journey with this virtual red couch. I thank es0 Torok of L C Sculpts and Amisha March if Insight Designs for the part they played in its birthing. I will post once a week with photos of the red couch. We have a glorious world here. Places disappear leaving only memories. With documentation, like flies in amber, they will remain long after the locales have ceased to exist.
If you would like to join me on this journey, send a notecard to Chic Aeon in world. I will send you a copy of the couch. The couch is without scripts or animations. You can rez the couch and use your AO or poseballs. You can wear the couch and adjust it to a sitting pose as shown above. Link to my weekly posts with your blog or photo sharing site link and a SLURL to your locale.Help document the adventure.

And yes, there is a well used red couch not far from where this photo was taken. I am not sure if its placement reflects the purpose of the real life "red couch", but it seemed a very fitting place to begin the journey.
