If you don't remember when Second Life was closed once a week to change out the server codes, having your hair and shoes end up between your legs on teleporting, or creating everything from shoes to houses with prims -- and only prims, you may not remember Phillip Rosedale.
Well it's time to get introduced. A fairly full if lacking in details biography can be found at Wikipedia. Instrumental in the early days of Second Life, he spent recent years with one of his own projects, High Fidelity. You can read the official press release article here.
