The Month That Was March

It has been a whirlwind month so far with plenty of changes.

The Medium article published a month ago with all its allegations as well as all the conversations on other platforms were removed by mid month. The thread on the SL forums has been hidden.

The lab has been reportedly investigating.

The words didn't help ME feel any better, but perhaps they influenced you.  And a few more dust bunnies are getting swept under the rug.

Has anything changed? Has anyone said, "I didn't do it."?

An interesting comment on the forum thread:

Is it over? I suspect that is The Lab's greatest desire.  I will be very surprised (but very pleased) if we hear further official word on this or see any litigation come into play.  Time will tell how that works out.

There have been repercussions among the masses. Long time SL supporters have distanced themselves from the company -- disappearing at least for awhile, and for some folks that I know a bit -- likely forever.  They may of course "start over" and enjoy SL in a not so public manner.

Everyone has to make their own choices and most of us will stick around.  We may not be as supportive as we have been in the past but anyone paying attention over the decades knows LL is not a perfect company. And we are still here enjoying what others have made and appreciative that we have the opportunity to take part in this world.

For those that feel they cannot stick around -- I wish you all the best.

A new TOS is supposedly in the works.  It is unclear (meaning I don't want to read through it all again) if we will all need to agree by clicking through or if the changes will just appear without any fanfare (this assuming there are actual changes which I am thinking there will be).

The last date I can find on the TOS page is long ago. Pasting it in here so that I don't lose it :D.

BUT LET'S NOT FORGET!!!!
