GACHAS ARE BACK

It is a BIG type face day.  Urban legend or whatever has this newspaper headline from WW1 as the largest letters available.  I don't know how true that is and I also don't really think that gachas being back equates with a declaration of war (or the headlines for PEACE either) but still --- BIG NEWS.

It is  difficult to say how much this will change our virtual platform, but for the creators still out there creating some will likely haul out their old machines.

I have to smile a little about this -- and really in many versions of smiles.  I am happy the rule changed as I never felt the rules were justified and it certainly hurt the SL economy.  At the same time all those folks who put there "old" gaha RARE items out for pennies on the dollar now have rares that are no longer rare in any sense of the word.  Hmmmm.

The new conveyor system "gatchas" while more fair to consumers (note I did not say "gamblers" as there really was no gambling involved) didn't do all that well.  Most gacha creators just stopped creating those big sets.  I can say for certain that the big sets of individual items (not five colors of one thing) took a LONG long time to make.  I enjoyed the process and the gacha days were certainly some of my best income times.

I hope this change helps the economy which seems to be hurting on most levels.  I have my doubts about the reresection's success but I am hoping I am wrong.

On a secondary note and simply because serendipity raised it hands waving as I was looking for that newspaper  photo from over a hundred years ago ---

It reminded me of  Pearl Harbor Day which I am guessing floats by for most folks.  I had a close relative at Pearl Harbor. He was almost buried alive but climbed out of the pit in time to continue on the family tree that became "me".   So "I" remember the date.

Some of you are in war zones still.  Even as a child I never blamed the citizens of the countries at war. For me it was always the leaders who pushed and threatened and were in the end responsible for lives lost -- many good lives lost.  We haven't really seemed to learn our lessons as a species.  Well SOME of us have and I am hoping that some day in the far off future we all can hold hands around the globe as friends.

Just posted on the official blog.

I will beautify this soon LOL.
