New News - Old News - and OMG News

A few "notices" about the state of our virtual nation.  

And NO this is so not an ad for the weekend event LOL. It is more of a mix of "what on earth am I going to put on the blog" mixed with "I never saw this coming".   

The first theme is one that happens fairly regularly and I usually find SOMETHING to fill the page. The second?  Well I think of myself as a big picture person, not exactly a visionary but someone who frequently looks way down the train tracks and sees the smoke from the locomotive.  I SO did not expect to see gachas (now legal again) on the weekend sales.   I am not against that but I am surprised. I am also taken a back a bit at the 90 linden price as being "on sale" when gachas were typically 50 or 75 lindens.   This picture was taken on Thursday by the way so it is unlikely these items will still be out.  

So that's the OMG news.

In a mixture of new news on old themes -- Linden Lab sent out emails to folks in the old Linden 512 homes saying that they would be taken down (after six years now) in THREE DAYS; this from the forums.  That does seem to be a bit of a short notice after such a LONG period of not getting around to it.  Some folks received a notecard but no email.  And SOME I imagine have no idea this is happening :D.

Coming up on the one year mark, the Tilia sale has not been completed as yet. If and when it does it will be rebranded as Thunes.   Some folks may need to add to their information under the new owners. So heads up if you are processing credits especially. 

Support tickets are still going unanswered (important stuff) for a long time. This after we were assured that "lots of folks" had been hired to deal. 

Normal maps have not been uploading so if things look "odd" that might be why. 

And there are new names out for those of you with deep pockets and a need to feel EXTRA special.  Here is the post with the list.  Most wouldn't interest me but I do like Moonchild.
