What's up with messages from email?

Something is amok and while it might "just be me" that seems unlikely. 

I have a SL friend who I have responded to via email when I wasn't on line. Twice she has received empty messages -- just a text saying "from Chic Aeon" and a timestamp.  

Contacting another person revealed the IM from email never arrived.   

Person one is in New Zealand and the other in eastern Europe (I think).  

Soooooo --- don't assume people are actually getting your messages at the moment.  Notecards might be the best for anything important.
