Whats Up at Linden Lab

There has been a lot of traffic to my ending post on the child avatar "scandal" this week and that got me thinking about The Lab.  The staff under investigation is still listed on the official website page.  Other not so public persons involved may have just made new avatars. Easy.  The policy of course was rewritten.  

Earlier in August there was a post on the forums about "something big coming" - this it was said from an "informed source". But still it has been pretty quiet.

The last NEWS that comes up in a Google search is from April.  We had a TOS change but did that happen?

Some sleuthing says that it is still not completed. This from August 22, 2024 from a Thunes press release.  

There are plenty of things still in the works like Mobile and then change in the Voice server.

Combat 2.0 is apparently here now with better ways to kill your virtual enemies (I so don't care) so maybe that was the BIG NEWS.

The Community Exhibits have been added to once more. And there is now a race track with (Surprise) my deluxe filler building used along the start (that was fun).  The leas photo shows one of the community exhibits.  Most are pretty WHITE for me but zip on over and take a look in PBR.

Nothing so far is leaving me breathless but we each have our definition of what a big announcement could be -- and maybe it just hasn't happened yet.
