Halloween Shop and Hop Applications are Open
Yes is is only mid August as I type this :D but Halloween Shop and Hop Applications are open.
For those of you newish to the grid, Halloween has always been a "big deal" in Second Life. Shop and Hop is free for the creators. Make a gift or give a gift card and you are set.
My post is mostly for the newer creators, ones that haven't entered into the bigger events or maybe any events at all. While Shop and Hop isn't as big a deal as it has been in the past and while many creators are leaving or hanging in there mostly to be supportive -- it is a GREAT opportunity for the new folks and does still get traffic --- and again FREEEEEEE.
You do not have to make seasonal products but it would be good to decorate in accordance to the event. FALL works as well as Halloween if you are so not into the spooky side of the month. Lots of other themes fit in too -- Day of the Dead, Samhaim and perhaps some I don't even know about :D.
Applications are typically open for a long while and there are almost always "filler spots" for the folks that made first pick and then didn't show up. So plenty of entrance opportunities.
I remember my first event (back when there were only a few events -- like Hair Fair and Skin Fair. ) It was also free and a sold a few things(I was making jewelry then). This was back in the sandals came with feet era ^^ so LONG ago. I had a great time and it was exciting being part of an group endeavor.

As an aside I loved this outfit but it disappeared from my inventory long ago. In case anyone has the sweatshirt still I would love to track it down and maybe pick it up. It was a gift but beyond that I don't remember much.
UPDATE: A reader happily let me know the maker and name of garment and I tracked it down on the UNA group gift wall (medium fee). I picked up a couple of other things there also. You can find the UNA main store here.
