MOKAMBO
I haven't visited Africa in a couple of decades but even so, this is not how I picture the region.
My eyes are popping and in a good way.
In my traveling days I sometimes journeyed as a tourist and sometimes a traveler. The high dollar resort is definitely out of my USD price range. This is a 30K region linked to several others. It bills itself as 100 percent PBR. I had no issues but then again I have a brand new smoking computer so take that into consideration when you visit.
This was perhaps my favorite spot -- so creative. The shops are fittingly upscale and low key.
The foliage is impressive and again -- not what I think of the country. Obviously this is a coastal region and not inland. There is a mix of tropical and modern with public spaces including a large clubbing area and plenty of quiet spots. The region carries a moderate designation.
