Shrink To Fit
Linden Lab has a new ad out -- one apparently geared toward cell phones. I decided it would be unwise to insert a screenshot here AND my good graphics program disappeared with the new fancy computer so we are back about a decade style wise.. Sorry about that.
Now IM-not so-HO The Lab has a history of pretty awful advertising decisions. If memory serves well, there was an impressive one for Sansar at one time, but generally there was little clapping heard from the actual citizens of SL.
To be fair this may be a realistic depiction of the cell phone avatars, but still === can we actually hug that well and smoothly in SL? Maybe so.
Nothing seems familiar to me in this ad. It looks more like an advertisement made and filmed in modeling software NOT inworld and looks very much like a recent ad for another platform (still in beta).
We have some very good folks still filming here inworld. Not as many as a decade ago or so surely but still....
I am thinking they could make a better ad that would represent our world in a more recognizable light.
