The last day of the month and that means The Challenge has started anew. This month's theme is Art Deco, a period in the 1920s which had a revival in the late 1960s. Either way it is back in time a bit and a style I love.

A perfect accompaniment for retro outfits be they 20s or 60s or somewhere in between are these tassled pumps from Baiastice for FaMESHed -- which of course starts TOMORROW.   Many many colors and versions to fit most any mesh feet are available.

I was thinking as I put these on how great we look in our mesh feet and bodies. Thinking back to the heels for system feet is painful. These fit perfectly and give that stylish back in time look just right for some outfits.

Two of the RARES from Sway's at the December Arcade

The Christmas Tree Lot Advent report has been part of this blog's holidays for a few years now. With so much going on neither Sami nor I are promising to blog our favorites daily. You are big girls and boys and our choices might not be yours, so checking the gifts on your own is a good idea AND part of the fun.

But I have been doing some sleuthing and here is a list of SOME of the many Advent calendars and celebrations happening this month.


I will update this list as I find more places, but in some cases you will need to join a group before the first of December or you will not be able to click on those cute little boxes, calendars numerals etc.  So here is what I know.

This year there is a hud instead of notecards so wander around Sways to find the baubles, click and fill your hud. One prize per day. Read the notecard that comes from the signs shown here :D.

December is looking like a whirlwind. Well I bet you already figured that out.

With so much happening, it is difficult to spend your time wisely.  The POE8 hunt (soon) is definitely worth adding to your calendar.


In the foreground, the Elysium  Unisex bag for POE 2015. It comes in an attachable version of course, but it only weighs in at 1 land impact -- so think of it as "decor" also :D.


My neutral, go with everything top is from 20.FIVE. Look for the Lately top  -- and of course it comes in four other colors by hud. A great basic to wear under other garments or show off your ------


new Tattoos!  This is of course from White Widow. You smart gals can spot designers, I know that. Along with traditional tattoos for legacy avatars there is a long list of applier versions with three choices of denseness.

Beautiful as always, you don't want to miss this.

My earrings are only one color of many, many, many ball earrings from Elysium . Yep, much goodness at that shop. Mark that on your "really want to find this one" list when the hunt begins on the first.

Now let's talk about this skin I am wearing. It is the new group gift skin from Lumae,  :: Jewel. It comes in eight (yes eight) tones. I am wearing one of the lighter versions. It also comes with enough choices to make your head spin and appliers for things I haven't even heard of. I can't imagine getting a more complete skin set.

There are legacy skins as well as numerous appliers. There are choices for brows and freckles and cleavages (many). I am truly impressed.

If I have my story straight Lumiya Rae decided to take a break and work on her skills, retiring her older skins soon and starting fresh. Well she has definitely done a great job. I really understand that need to feel at the top of your skill level as I have been there too lately. So here is to being the best we can be and creating things we are truly proud of. A very good plan!

A plethora (so love that word) of white gowns are yours for the finding on the POE8 hunt. This one from Snowpaws is Sami's favorite -- so far. She can have a few favorites so she says she isn't worried (smart girl).

The Arum Lily floor length gown comes with flowing mesh dress, Y strap back and optional accessories. The add on lace skirt is very lovely and if you are planning a holiday wedding? This would be a good choice for the bride. Lily adornments for the cleavage area and hair (not shown) are also part of this generous gift.

So mark this on your don't miss it list when the hunt starts (sorry, no blog page yet).

It's the end of the month with some venues closing soon, some just open and some on the horizon.

For Uber, from Trompe Loeil, the Jayden bed which comes with or without light strings and in "raw" (as shown), red and white. PG and A versions are both available.


Also at Uber, some really fun fashion Raka boots in a rainbow of colors.  These fit Belleza, Maitreya, Slink and standard avatars. Look for the BAIASTICE booth!


You have just a little while to pick up this great hair at My Attic. There are many color packs with some quite different color combos. This stylish updo can be yours at bargain prices, look for enVOGUE's Patricia hair (right hand side not too far from the entrance).

The Peace on Earth Hunt is right around the corner and while there are many lovely dressy outfits as gifts, I was pleased to see this comfy and casual top from [[Masoom]] arrive. It is ONLY for Maitreya bodies. Happily that is what I have!  :D.

A late night wish from Sami, a tip and a reminder.

Her complete outfit including high high sneakerboots, hat and hair (separate) and a bunch of very cute tops are free for all at ShuShu. This is an "on the wall" gift for those in the know and that means you guys now - LOL.

Look for the HOT HOT Outfit  -- again a vendor on the wall guys (for those of you that weren't around when this was a popular method of giving :D).

There are even fishnet stockings with appliers.

Also --- if you haven't done the Firestorm Hunt you have a little time left. It is indeed one of the best of the year. The signboard in back was a gift from Goose.

Advent season is on the horizon. I typically (sometimes with Sami, sometimes with other friends) cover all the various places with picks from the day. I am not sure if that will happen this year. Many places seem to be group oriented which is fine -- actually I am in some groups that are doing Advent LOL. But many are pay groups. Sooooo -- at this point we aren't really sure about the Christmas Tree Lot posts.

I will do some research and see what is going on. So far I haven't heard that much. Still we will certainly post if there is something either of us has found that we think will have universal appear *wink*.

The Peace on Earth Hunt opens for its eighth cycle soon. Some of the gift givers have been in many (perhaps all) the hunts. It is a bit of an institution -- started by Sequoia Nightfire and being carried on by those that wish to see the tradition continue.

This really lovely holiday seating set  from Zen Creations comes complete with color hud for the chair.  I had to smile when I opened this box. I am fairly sure that this is the company that I searched for SO LONG on one of the very first POE hunts. There were over 200 shops and no real info on who had what. I saw a photo of the gift and was in lust mode. From there I did pretty much the whole hunt just to find the prize I was after.

It is no longer with me of course, the disappearance of all (ALL) my home and garden items a few years back saw to that, but a quick search let me know that I still have another set from POE and Zen Creations. It was a fun trip down memory lane.

 
The slippers in my scene are from P3 and come for Slink, Belleza and TMP. Versions for the guys are included.

Sami's store was a participant in the first POE hunt, I was a participant a few times also. Between us I suspect we have covered all the hunts over the years. So we look forward to showing you some of our favorites finds as the calendar days of December turn.

December is almost here. That means presents and Advent and hunts and ---

THE ARCADE!

December at The Arcade is almost always my favorite month. So much fun and so many releases that have me smiling.

These are just a few of the Cory Edo's goodies for the event. Look for the Trompe Loeil machine to gather your favorites.   Land impact ranged from 1 to 7 on the ones I checked.

Now I was all dressed up in a very cute VIOLET version of this dress, but when faced with so much red and white, there was only one choice for a blogger; change.

This is a darling little dress from SAGE at My Attic. Each color comes with a hud with various patterns for the skirts as well as choices between the color set's hue, white, and black for belt and top.

Now this isn't a color of hair that I normally wear. In fact I am not sure I have ever worn it *wink*, but change is good. I have been wearing it most of the day as I ventured over to The Fantasy Collective where bright colored magical pumpkins adorn many booths. Gifts are in evidence and I found these show stopper Bole Earring at the Plastik booth.

It didn't take long for me to figure out the Universe was definitely in red and white mode. So this WAS the perfect hair for today. You can find Vanity Hair's Sugar Coat at Shiny Shabby.

Now this is my kind of party. Vistas, lights and champagne. Oh wait! There's no guy in the picture. Well, welcome to my world.

EVEN if you will be celebrating the holidays alone, we all deserve classy surroundings -- and attire.

From Mimikri -  the Embellished Dress and Leather Leggings. Both are beautifully textured and come in a variety of subtle shiny tones perfect for upscale parties or simply just pampering yourself.


The champagne bucket and gold rimmed glasses are definitely romantic. I SO love dressing up in fantasy garb!

From MEVA at The Fantasy Collective --- Meva Leafs Helmet, this in black with other colors available.

When I saw this new release I was wondering what in the deep, deep recesses of my closet would be a fitting accompaniment.  Maybe ten seconds and I thought of Chandra's Chained Lust set. Now this isn't a new release. Indeed mesh bodies weren't on the scene when this was a big hit, but you know what. the "outfit" looks much better on better bodies -- now that isn't a big surprise.

So I took myself over to my favorite sandbox, unpacked a set that I loved (and saved in a file) from MOSP and here we have the dramatic said pho-to.

My Attic is open -- a place where you can get some terrific and stylish items at deeply discounted prices. All items are new and there are plenty of releases to choose from. My silky jumpsuit with a myriad of color and belt choices is from LAVIAN  and entitled You Used to Hold Me. Comfy and classic it can be happy at home or at a club.

From EMO-tions, a classic updo with pearl trimmed headband, perfect for holiday occasions. A pearl encrusted collar neck piece is a bonus item.  This is Roberta.

Now you may have noted my new look. I am an excited gal. The *YS&YS* Beatrix Appliers for heads are one of my favorite releases this round. They come for Catwa, Logo and LELUTKA!!!!!   I am thrilled to have a new look. There just aren't that many folks making appliers for the Lelutka heads. So when I saw the logo on the vendor I was thrilled. There are three skin tones and different brow versions in a two pack huds. This is the medium tone.

It was quite easy to tint my Maitreya body just a tad darker for a perfect match (this is an unedited photo except for the border). The really great thing about appliers is that they FIT. How many times have you tried on a beautiful looking skin to find that the nose or ears or whatever simply didn't work with your shape?  All that is gone with mesh heads and appliers. I consider this a big advantage!

You can still play with the amount of lipstick and eye-shadow but I am guessing you smart folks already know that. I especially like the eyebrows which with my "consternation" choice in my Lelutka hud have me looking quite mysterious.

Vanity Hair's Swing Out vintage "do" with a myriad of military style cap types to choose from by super pretty hud, is SO FUN. This is the army nurse corps. This is a collaborative work from B&W and Vanity Hair.   Available at Free*Style - 8th Anniversry Site.   Uniform? Why it is from Ducknipple, the DN Mesh: Helga Outfit. Sometimes my inventory amazes me *wink*.


I was definitely born at the wrong place and time. I love this!

If you are addicted to really really really high heals with really really really REALLY pointy toes -- then do I have something for YOU!  The  ***ArisAris/B&W~Gara16~Stepping Jauntily heels feature a huge hud with choices that go on forever.

I LOVE these huds. While I pretty much never play with all the intricate options I find that there is almost always the perfect color or pattern in the "show me the choices honey" area on the left - LOL. Lazy, lazy gal.  You can find these at the main store OR at FreeStyle  Supa8 event.

Addendum: I have to say that while I wasn't adding these shoes to the uniform styling above, they look pretty darn good albeit not terribly realistic as "uniforms" go :D.   

This gorgeous top and pant set (oh so classy) is a remembrance - support gift from AnaMarkova. Giana Paris is absolutely stunning!  Find it to the right of the entrance on the wall.

There is also a very pretty print top with a French print in the pack.   A perfect hair style for something this classy is the SLF&O gift from -Sentinus Hair- Fitted Mesh Gloria. Matching Earrings and ring are a recent gift from Beloved Jewelry, parts of the Topaz Set Gift number 9.

I took a trip to virtual Paris the other morning. A busy place with many people paying respects, it hadn't changed much from earlier days when I visited more often.

I haven't seen the Eiffel Tower in person; the Paris airport is as close as I have been to the real version. It was good to walk the virtual streets.

I am not really blue of course, in that sadness sense. I love the clean look of freshly fallen snow.

Out from Sway's at Wayward Market, the Emilia Bench.  I spotted this lovely when I was perusing before the opening, and there are some cute home accessories snuggling in the booth in a friendly way -- so be sure and check those out also.

The bench can be brown or gray and there are a variety of easy to use texture change buttons for the fabric that are also part of the animation hud. All in one is nice and this comfy seating area can host up to three friends. Couple's animations are included.

Let's talk boots!

Getting myself together for this photo was a little tricky. I haven't lived through a winter in my mesh body yet and there are indeed holes in my wardrobe. I am watching those event vendor posters (thank you Serephim) and I am sure that by the END of winter I will have many more choices.

Boots really took a hit when I cleaned out my wardrobe for Lara; some of my favorites just don't work any longer. Happily I have quite a few older lassitude & ennui boots that are current staples.

Now these boots have been in my inventory for awhile -- so says the date that I acquired them. They are great boots with lots of details, but my guess is that I couldn't find a styling partner for them. But today is the day! 

These are the Hellebore Boots and they are fitmesh and work perfectly. Happy, happy girl. They are at the lassitude & ennui shop right here!

Oh, and one other really great thing about these boots -- they are mod and TINTABLE so I changed the color slightly for a perfect match to the rest of my outfit. Now that is SO nice!

Now the Tudor Cap set from MEVA for We Love Role-Play isn't "just" steampunk attire. Most any warrior princess would find this fitting garb -- especially since it also comes in black.

My favorite part is the ear muffs. Wear the three pieces separately or as a combined cap as you see here.

It only took me a second to find my perfect outfit for this new release, the Airship Princess from awhile back. Sadly it seems that the designer is no longer designing.

But I at least get to enjoy this great pairing, and I am guessing that if you are into role play, you have something in your closet that will go well with this stunning new item.
