Coming Your Way

Soon at Uber, from BAIASTICE a wickedly ladylike outfit in the best vein of "multi-purpose". As I was trying this on I was thinking back to bridesmaid's dresses (the pink probably had something to do with that but there are many dark and mysterious colors to choose from). It was such a thrill when you realized you could actually wear your bridal attire AFTER the event had passed.

This set has lots of coordinating pieces. There is the lovely low backed and long gown that would be appropriate for most any elegant affair. There is the hat which boasts a secretive lace mask-veil, and there are the gloves -- oh my!

A collar with spiky vertebrae is another optional accessory. SO many ways to wear -- from sedate to definitely dangerous. Pick your style and mark your calendar.

Dia De Los Muertos

The three day holiday begins as the month ends.  A mixture of celebration and remembrance, skeletons mix with sugar skulls and marigolds.

Vanity Hair presents a creative and nontraditional Dia De Los Muertos hair with hat.  A little pirate, a little showgirl, it may be just the finishing touch for your All Hallows Eve attire.

The 31st is a special time for many people. Enjoy yours!

Dreaming of Summer

Summer isn't far behind for those of us in the Northern climes, but already I am remembering those warm breezes wistfully. The good news is that we can have any weather we want in our virtual world!

Just out from Diesel Works a hammock packed full of goodness. Animations for guys, gals and couples as well as a texture change menu for both blanket and pillows. The hammock rocks gently of course -- by menu. The netting is individual strands. Well of course it would be, but as I typed this I flashed back to the days before wondrous mesh when we were happy to have a prim and a nice texture. So glad things have changed.

Also new and coordinating, this darling lantern ladder from Cheeky Pea. Find it at The Seasons Story, but hurry -- time is short.

Don't Panic at Pulse

Weekend fun includes a romp over at Pulse where "Don't Panic" has been going on for awhile. If you have played the previous Halloween games, you know the drill  -- well sort of.

This version is a bit more high tech with voiceovers "from the van" along the way. There are also hints that appear in the chat bar and even a HELP button (so far not used) on your PKE meter.

The rules are pretty simple really. Mesh viewer (well duh!), low or no scripts (check), no huds or facelights (check). Sounds up, music down or off (the parcel stream is just a radio station and not part of the event -- unless someone is really, REALLY crafty LOL).

I am tastefully attired in old non-scripted garb. No mesh hands or feet. Minimal outfit (I dressed down) by Paradisis ; hair by Discord Design -- which happily worked perfectly with the headset (part of the game).

Read all about the event here.

Keep your eyes open for rats along the way. They hold prizes from several merchants!

Now the game is much maze and definitely non-sequential; both of my adventure game downfalls. So I am not sure if I will finish. But so far I have two three parts of eight things I need. Then of course it is likely that there is more after that. The blog says two hours -- well yep maybe if you know where you are going LOL, but I expect to be there much longer. Actually I am just leaving myself there on logout -- at least for awhile.

Well I somehow managed to finish without cheating. In fact several folks followed behind me to get places. However ---- I also apparently missed a section or two of the story. I only found 4 of the eight items needed. Used logic to do a puzzle that I had three of four parts to (bad idea). I may or may not return. I actually did quite well and never did use that help button  -- whatever it may do.

The really good new for me is that I got this cute little fellow as a prize.

He may look familiar to you as his brothers and sisters were over at Fright Fest. I wanted one SO BAD. And now I have one. He is tiny as kitties will be and a little primmy as he is animated --  but hey, SO CUTE!  Now there are lots of other great prizes  -- many which I apparently missed as they have numbers. I didn't pay attention to where any were except this guy. So for you cat lovers, my hint is "wine bottles".

Gifts from the Grid 2

Continued from previous post --

Talk about a fantastic dress! Oh my.

Now admittedly my friend needed to tweak her shape a tad for this to fit so perfectly, but she was more than willing to do that.  As a bonus there is a hud that lets you choose from four colors.  Find this at Faboo by the SL free & offers group joiner.

And if you are a Mayfly eyes collector, you will want to pick up this very pretty hazel set, September Shadow.

This is an unretouched photo of the Genesis Creations gift skin -- see previous post.

Gifts from the Grid

We all love presents and there are some really great ones out on the grid these days. Courtesy of my newly returned buddy who is a SL frees & offers member I bring you a few of the wondrous items she picked up this evening.

Those B&W sunglasses I wear so often?  Well you can have your own pair as a present. Find them in the back of the store on a BIG poster. While these ARE "SL frees & offers" gifts they are set to buy for anyone. There is a great red leather jacket with texture change shirt for the guys.

This very nice umber toned skin is a gift from  -=>> Genesis Creations <<=-  and includes four versions plus freckles and appliers.

Want to dance the night away? The  Allure Midnight Leggings are perfect for getting noticed; the very pretty pattern is called Chocolate Syrup. As with all these gifts, look for the pink SL free & offers join poster; the gifts are usually underneath. Just click to claim your gifts.

One more hard to see but extremely nice item is the feminine tattoo from INFECTED.   This is beautifully done and elegantly tasteful.

More up next time including the MOST stunning dress!

A Vintage Gal

Vintage -- classic and lovely.
Going back in time is one of my favorite pastimes.

Venues abound these days and while gray is the rule at their opening, the shopping experience is much nicer after the crowds have cleared.

From BAIASITCE for The Liaison Coorperative, the Tori dress, a delicately lace trimmed slip dress with plenty of detailing and a rainbow of colors to choose from.

From Vanity Hair for the Vintage & Cool Fair -- LA Confidential, inspired by the movie of the same name.

From 22769 for L'accessories, Groove in the Heart for Slink Medium and in a variety of colors.

And, if you are looking for a vintage house -- also from 22769 ~ [bauwerk], The Manor inspired by the home in the Charmed TV series. Find it at COLLABOR88.

FLF - Timely

Out for Fifty Linden Friday from {what next} -- lots of very happy little pumpkins! The decorative pumpkin set includes crate and you can move things around as your space dictates. The hanging lantern set come with or without string and in some color choices.

Also new at the main store, a falling leaves set (three shapes). I layered some here go give a leaf on top of leaf look. Note this is NOT a texture but individual mesh leaves (1LI at this size).

There is also a super cute black and white trick or treat version of the pumpkin set out as a new item, so check for that while you are visiting. Who knows which will be your favorite!

Fright Fest

Something wicked this way comes!

Fright Fest opens today with lots of activities, some great Halloween decorations and even a building contest.

This top photo is from the !! Follow Us!! area where there are tons of  niche items (Chic dances and bought a new hay mound prop; she SO needed one).

For those of you that love breedables and collectibles, you will find them here. This is the cutest kitty who animates out of a pumpkin.

There are special edition kitties to be had (some very cute, some scary  -- oh my).

This is one of the events where you can come home with prizes. Find the pumpkins with the floating text and click. You either get a good prize or a boobie prize. You are invited to return in an hour to try again. The good prizes I won were quite nice.

This is the flying kitty on a broom from KittyCats. Wear it on your shoulder and it circles.

You can see the list of merchants on the AviChoice blog. Type in "Fright Fest" to find the sims.

I have been feeling quite nostalgic of late. Exploring the hypergrid for the first time, it is much like going back to my SL youth. So many memories; looking for "stuff", finding said "stuff" and then going through and keeping a few prize things. They were good days back then, and they were fun days too.

banesworth anubis prefabs turns a decade this month and there is a contest going on. You don't even need to be a classy photographer to win.  I looked through some of my photo and this was my favorite.

If I remember correctly this was his first partially mesh build.

And this is the latest release, a roomy family home -- the Bates House. The house comes in at 189 prim impact (mesh), and a 36x26 meter footprint.    Find it at COLLABOR88.

Room Service

Two more special releases for COLLABOR88; its a great round!

The Baiastice Helsinki Boots are intricately detailed with a gorgeous shine. These come in a variety of winter neutrals and near neutrals -- well what IS a neutral anyway?  They are standard sizing and run true.

Now Second Spaces has a whole set of vintage hotel gear with the hutch being super cute. But ya know, sometimes less is more in a photo shoot. Be sure and peruse ALL the items in the "check out at 11" set. These are wonderful photo props if you don't happen to be a hotel owner *wink*.

Mystic Realms Faire Highlights

Accessories and props abound at the Mystic Realms Faire.

This butter churn prop set from  Roawenwood gives appropriate items for the animations. Non-animated versions are included in the pack.

This Bird of Prey necklace from lassitude & ennui comes in three cord colors with color change menu for the crystal. Even wenches can be mystical!

If you dabble in the magical arts you won't want to miss this  Alchemy Experience from Ravenghost. Table, on-off bubbling beakers (yes they bubble nicely!) and extremely intricate book stand and book are indiviual pieces. This is very lovely.

Sway Dench has been a busy gal of late with a plethora of great releases for both main store and venues. This is definitely one of my favorites. Find it at MRF. Not only is it beautifully crafted, it comes with a variety of animations for singles, couples and friends.

Bliensen + MaiTai offers a big collection of dragonfly accessories. The Libelula release includes brooch, hair accessory, necklace and ring --- oh, and pasties (one dragonfly, one empty leaf) which are BOUND to come in handy. Don't miss those. These are attention getters.

My outfit is old and not from the faire; BlueMoon.

Mystic Sky

I have never dabbled in role play but I certainly understand why others do. There is something quite liberating about being someone so very different than you perceive yourself to be.

From the Mystic Realms Faire:

From sYs: NYMPHE gloves, LUNAR bracelet and LUNAR sunglasses with color effects hud.

Who IS that girl? Oh my, she is me.

My lovely isabeau - coldmoon grayscale skin is from crow  and comes with many variations of eye shadow.  If you prefer you can find this also at the home store. And there is a lovely group gift skin available so don't miss checking that out.

The Mystical Searcher

Mystique and the search for knowledge come together on this quiet eve.

From Senzafine we have the Elaisse gown available in many lovely color combinations. It is of course long (well, you knew that I bet).  Find it along with other releases at The Mystic Realms Faire which opens sometime today.

And while you are waiting for that opening date, zip on over to the RMK Halloween event and try your luck at picking up this wonderful Spellcraft Book of Shadows. The gacha item is one of many redeemable prizes from the games and activities. The product is available at the market in town. There is more info on how that works here, or ask your Japanese friends.

Update: A guide to the RMK event is now up here. In English! Yeah!
Prize preview is here.

Now you probably already spied the fantastic  Roawenwood stargazer's telescope set. The details are superb. It can be yours on the Madpea Greenmire hunt. There are two paths on this hunt with Roawenwood being in the skeptics. Here is more info if you want to give it a try.

The Midnight Glow of Satin

COLLABOR 88 is looking to be an exceptional round.

From ISON, the silk slip dress. Wear it out or just for that special someone. Hey, wear it for yourself! The glow, the line -- simply breathtaking.

This is the new attic skybox from Trompe Loeil.  With gorgeous detailing and textures plus fireplaces galore AND an optional dark night surround, it is indeed a winner. The wingback chair is also a new Trompe Loeil release and comes with ambient maps should you want to try your hand at reupholstering.

This new Simone hair is available from MINA at the Mystic Realms Faire.

Of the oh so many lovely items available at the Mystic Realms Faire, this is bound to be at the top of my list. The words beyond perfection come to mind. As I took these photos over at the Zaara sim, it was a step into another world. I have seldom felt more beautiful.

There is something about being immersed in another culture; I have done it often and fully -- sometimes being mistaken for a local which for me was a badge of pride.

With a rainbow of colors available you can find the perfect attire for your own personal journey. The Mystic Realms Faire opens the 10th.

Mystic Realms Faire Sneak Peek

The Mystic Realms Faire opens on the 10th. With two full sims of small shops there will be lots to explore. Sim 1 features a town village and across the river Sim 2 (shown above) is more countryside.

Even if you aren't into role play, you will want to venture over. It is so very rich in texture with materials evident and working perfectly.  Now there is a warning along with my "must see" declaration. Sim 2 especially is very texture dense. I actually crashed taking this photo on my brand new and very hefty graphics card. It WAS Sunday, but still.

If your machine is of the older variety, do yourself a favor and wait a bit for the crowds to thin. We all know that role players seldom get the dress down idea *wink*; just part of their character I guess.

I have some lovely goodness to feature from the faire, so stay tuned ...

and think MYSTICAL!

There is plenty to see over at FaMESHed, including this great shawl collared jacket with shirt. Trousers and broad brimmed hat are also part of the new release. Look for the Coco display.  This isn't me of course, but a fashionista that I snapped while checking out the great offerings. So she is my lead, with permission of course. She said this was "so her" and indeed it looks that way.

Also out for FaMESHed a big coffee house set (including a fun crow's nest coffee house) from 22769 [bauwerk], The Crows Cafe. Shown here, my favorite piece of the collection, the vintage espresso machine. Cups and counter are also part of this collection.

The deco canvases (three different pieces of three canvases each) are from Trompe Loeil, part of the Paxton Set as are these breathtakingly beautifully textured chair and loveseat. Various colors are available and items can be purchased singly. Be sure and stop by FaMESHed and see them all.

I have more to share of this month's round, but that is it for today!

Sugar Sugar

Out the 5th for The Mens Dept, the :CP: Shae Cosy. Various versions in color and maturity rating are available; this is Muertos (PG). For those of you not in the know, this design is in reference to Day of the Dead in Mexico. Sugar Skulls abound.

From lassitude & ennui for the Candy Fair - Spin spin sugar pumps.

There are plenty of color combos to choose from and the mid height Slink shoes come in both rigged and unrigged versions.

Out from Vanity Hair, Bonnie which can be worn simply as in a sleek 60s style ala hair ironing OR with the cute Beanie which is tintable via an all inclusive color hud.

Both materials and non materials versions are included and there are many color packs to choose from.

Shopping is the theme for this month's The Challenge. In the background we have a stylish little shop from Black Tulip along with the terrifically clever security gate from 22769 and some beautifully made display cases from [hate this]. I am giving out extra bonus points this month as the theme was a toughie -- at least it certainly seemed that way to me.

From Kuro there is this detailed notepad and coin set. Note the lovely wood on the [ht] display tables. Two other finishes are available.

See all the ads here.

My young geeky guy is wearing  some sleek attire from Ducknipple, the Master Jacket. Not only is the leather yummy and the hoodie in back very convincing, it has enough choices to keep a guy in new looks all season. There are twelve (12!) jacket colors and twelve hoodie colors. So for folks that hate to shop and don't want to be wearing the same thing every day -- well this is the answer.

Out for The Challenge from ...::JUST MY IMAGINATION::...Cleo Design, the fitting room. This month's theme is "shopping" and I thought that a hard one, but the designers came up with some great items. More on that later.

This is a really fun prop and has animations built into the mirror. A second style is available in warm woodtones with curtain. There are also some cute double conversation settee chairs from Cleo Design so check those out too.

My ARMONY Shena Gown from ArisAris is appropriate for this post as the elegant dress comes with texture CHANGE hud!  Choose your style to fit your mood from elegant to dangerous.

Naughty Naughty

It's time for a little FASHION -- don't ya think?

From BAIASTICE for Uber's Fifty Shades of Sexy, this extremely original look at what makes us girls. Tons of colors to choose from, this is the Elena dress in rose.

Since much of my day had me in gray skin with no attachments it was a wonderful change to look so attractive this eve.

Find your favorite color and choose your style -- with or without  the bra (it comes both ways) *wink*.
