PRIDE AT HOME
This looks like great fun. There is a parade and some gifts. Unfortunately even with people turned off I got a message that I was running out of RAM (have never seen that on this machine so it was a surprise). I then crashed :D. Head on over and tread carefully just in case.
New SL Hire
Is SL taking another turn? We got gachas back and now it appears they are looking at gambling. We had gambling when SL was really young but it disappeared because of legalities. I am wondering what legal shift made the choice available again. The only things I can think of are the rules happening in Europe primarily aimed at keeping kids from spending all their parent's money on "games".
Hair Fair
Hair Fair is going on. I admit I went over briefly -- mostly for nostalgia's sake. I crashed repeatedly even though I don't crash often these days and the regions weren't all that full. If you are sensing a theme with the crashing it may have been the latest sever update :D. I did note that in the sim I visited there were a lot of hats and other head paraphernalia as well as hair. I picked up one "pride" gift but haven't opened it yet. Presents were not in abundance -- at least in the area I visited.
Going to Hair Fair these days makes me a little sad. Those of you who are OLD likely understand. Back in the day it was THE event of the summer and the sim designs were always fun to wander through. One year it giant (GIANT) makeup containers like lipstick and compacts etc. accompanying some very plain storefronts. Another year was a beach theme with poseballs and props to take pictures from and a contest (I think I won 2nd place) and the last year that impressed me it was the back lot of a movie studio with retro houses and cameras on booms. All fun.
Now as with most event it is simply booths in a line. Alas.
SL 22B
Coming in a few weeks, the SL birthday bash and Shop and Hop. I will be covering Shop and Hop gifts for sure zipping over to the birthday sims to see if I find anything to report. Fingers Crossed.
June is usually the last busy month in SL leading into the summer doldrums. That's OK. Folks should be outside (sorry southern countries I know it is cold for most of you) and enjoying nature. Nothing wrong with reveling in snow either if that's your thing.
I am hoping to get a couple of new favorite LaraX outfits together this season. It is important to change out of your leggings and tunics now and then :D.
