Delightful Deco

My grandmother (the typists of course) was a flapper back in the deco days. She also mad liquor down in the basement -- hidden from her husband (oh my).  I always think of a century ago as a fun time. I am sure it had it downsides too.  Still the clean lines and sharp angles always have me thinking of the first days of Hollywood.

This is an amazing piece of work. The cabinet completely opens so those of you that love the "realistic" part of SL will enjoy playing. Hide away your illegal booze in a role play sim or just enjoy the classy build as furniture.   Find the Dirty Rat - The Gatsby Cabinet here.  It comes in both PBR and legacy versions. This is the legacy version in the PBR viewer :D.

From the notecard -- I was happy to read this is the first in a new series (woot) :

They say this liquor cabinet once stood in the corner of a hidden speakeasy, tucked behind a velvet curtain and bathed in cigarette smoke and jazz. It’s easy to believe — with its bold Art Deco lines, rich wood finish, and just the right amount of vintage drama. Open the top, and you’ll find a mirrored interior that catches the light like a glass of bourbon at midnight. The drop-down door becomes the perfect mixing surface, while the pull-out drawer keeps bar tools and secrets close. Bottles rest behind elegant metal railings, and the lower cabinet, with its mirrored floor, offers room for more — or maybe something someone meant to hide.

But this isn’t just a liquor cabinet. It’s the first piece of a larger story — a collection of elegant furniture, each one holding a fragment of a vanished life, one final party, and a mystery no one ever solved.

The Gatsby Cabinet is where it all begins.
