Decorating for the Holidays

What does one do with an early holiday present?  Well "I" open it!
The folks on the ground at Snow Globe --- where our 50li stylings took place for the most part and where quite a few stylists stayed on -- received a very thoughtful 50 land impact addition to our abodes.  Many of those houses are BIG and so decorating with only 50 li is pretty much impossible. You can do a room or maybe two but not the complete home.

Upon hearing the news I zipped over to think about the changes I would make. Mostly I added things. And, since it was almost Thanksgiving in the states I decided to include some holiday touches.

My very first additions were some extra bushes to soften the look of the house in the landscape.  Then I added a sled and snowshoes from last winter.

The tiny porch had a makeover with the addition of some skis and a bag full of holiday gifts.  I changed the rocker to red via the hud and added some green and red book covers by tinting in the build menu.

The entry gained both a coat rack and a chair for getting out of wet boots and the like. Some suitcases added a temporary feel and books and a centerpiece pulled the corner together.

The fireplace area gained two new casual and comfy (and kind of "primmy but oh so cute" ) chairs and  a side table with décor.  I traded out my one prim with books table for one with more presence (it too is high land impact but I linked it with another piece of furniture and saved some li).  Two plants disappeared as they interrupted the new flow and a very festive candle and flower arrangement became the new table dressing.

A rug and some extra kitchen clutter became part of the dining alcove.

You may have noticed that the flooring changed.  I made a mock up of prims (it took five) and exported to Blender and made a cover for the odd shaped cabin. It takes any tiling texture, so if I decide on a new look in January, a couple of clicks will get me there.    And the little lending library is still out front for visitor and neighbors.

The house also has a 7 land impact holiday tree that will likely be replaced. There are two land impact points to spare.  The living room couches area stayed the same.
