Bringing you the best of Second Life since 2008.

Themed Shopping

Yes, I am back after almost six days with no communication except a visitor who braved the two inch thick ice (nasty) and some by hotspot emails.  I made it though with flying colors --- and then crashed. So "here" but maybe not "all here". We will move forward sloooowly.

Meanwhile before the dreaded fiber meltdown I was wandering though the new mentions in the Destination Guide looking for something to show you.  Honestly I didn't find all that much but there was a little shopping village that looked kinda cute. From THAT link I immediately noted some cute litle Europeans row houses and thought what a nice neighborhood (mainland).

I went back over today to look around and found that they ware actually rentals.  They may not have been set up before, not sure BUT ...

Now and then on the forums there are folks looking for cheap rentals. Now cheap rentals aren't that difficult to find but CUTE cheap rentals are LOL.  I love themed shopping and am very fond of roleplay sims because of that. Back in the day there was a lot more inworld shopping and many more THEMED shopping districts.  One of my favorites was Retrology which closed in the Spring of 2010 after a long and popular run.

It was as you might guess RETRO themed.  So many adventures there. Much fun.

The little row houses have many floors but unless you are REALLY good with your prims you will likely stay on one level. You get 50 land impact for 50 lindens a week.   Great for galleries and new folks starting out on the Marketplace that want to have a presence in world without costing much.  There is another shopping area on the other side of the bridge with 100 land impact shops at the same  per prim rate.

And to showcase some lovely PBR effects, here is the build with no filters taken at midday -- gorgeous but the world IS going to be darker when we are all in a PBR viewer.
