Steam 3 - The Finale

Finishing up the STEAM 3 Hunt has been fun. I have a few stops left, but as any good blogger knows, it is easier to fill in those style notes when you are wearing something than later when you have to hunt for them *wink*. So here are the photos I took last night.  Some clothes! Yeah. This is a great Victorian suit from ezura. There is apparently one for guys hidden in the store also :D.

This stylishly dapper suit gave me a chance to wear the pocket watch I found a few days ago.  This is only one of several versions of the watch. There is a necklace as well as handheld versions. Gestures are included for pocket watch checking. JaqueMate is the maker of this finely detailed prize.

My Steampunk 2010 Hunt Hat hales from The Mad Hattery.

This 92 prim skybox is from Primwynly.

The interiors vary in style from room to room. The library is shown in the top photo.

Filled with great attention to detail and with one of the best ties that  I have seen, this *Mire* Pathfinder set is a winner. I especially like the leather armband with all the tools. SO CUTE!

The outfit comes with a tattered set of tails on the coat and some mid length pants -- also with tattered edges. I loved the stockings, so opted for some cabaret bottoms.

There are plenty of very nice textures in this hunt, some for buildings and some specialty. This is one of four chart sets from Texworks which has some nice original SL photos on the walls as you are wandering around. These appear to be scanned in photos from books long ago out of copyright, so I am thinking they are nicely legal.

Goodies from other texture shops include these sculpty curtains with matching texture so your pillows can coordinate :D.  Find that prize at A Stitch In Time.

My personal favorite texture set -- and one that doesn't have to wait for a Steampunk theme -- includes both the floor and wall textures in this set up.  They are from Phoenix Textures whose prize includes many useful neutral patterns most with this same organic feel.

The Artemus Armchair with four poses is the prize at Crossroad Dreams.

I end my coverage of the third Steam Hunt with the prize from the Julia Collection. We always expect something exceptional from Julia, and she never seems to fail us. This massive clock sculpture is entitled Julia's Broken Gears of Time. Too big for most of our abodes or shops, it is nevertheless mucho impressive. And of course, I will be saving it. The wonderful thing about SL is that you never know what you will be doing in the future. A really large hunk of land in a Steampunk theme?  That isn't on my current list of things to explore, but lists change.

A special thanks to the citizens of the Babbages, some of my favorite sims, for letting us rez in their beautiful surroundings!

And that's this season's Steam Hunt.
