Chic at Phil's Place

OK. I admit it. I am ready for Halloween to end. Don't get me wrong, I LIKE Halloween. I'm just ready to move onward. Still, when I heard that Tekeli-li had a dollarbie out -- I am THERE. One of my favorite designers for sure with so much imagination and skill -- how could I not go.

So off to Hollow Earth and that is where these photos are taken. You can jump down into the abyss and ride a canal boat (or fly) and have a great time.

The gift is the great hat I am wearing and as you might have guessed it is immensely changeable with leather, metals and gems all having the ability to change into new colors. It's easy. Several sizes and attachment points are included. Don't miss this.





On the way to Hollow Earth, I stopped by Moontan who was having a hunt (well not REALLY as pumpkins are big and in the open. There is also a witches broom in case you are in need. Shown here are some pretty unHalloweeny thing (sigh of relief as my inventory is popping with LOVELY things I have no time to wear).

Just a quick update after I zipped over to the Bewitched part of the great hair (and more) hunt going on. While I am not going to give you too many hints, I WILL say that -- for me -- the Bewitched part of the sisterhood held more favorites. And, for those of you who really like those "old" textures (and I am certainly one) you can get them here. I found at least five favorite styles including Doll shown in the Bewitched "mahg" version of mahogany. The dress is from the pumpkin in the Alpha Male shop. Pose by LAP.

It's getting laggy now but the hunt will be for for awhile, so enjoy.

Deviant Kitties is having a hunt. You may have heard. I went over to take a look and while I really love the goggles I found (I so love goggles it seems), I do have to say that this is a DIFFICULT hunt. The pumpkins are tiny and after 45 minutes I had found three. So, I can't show you the whole outfit as I didn't find it, but I hear there are some great boots in the mix.


BUT there are some nice gifts just out in boxes including these HUGE but very cute (some of you like huge I know - wink) boots with lots of detail. They are mod but don't shrink down. They likely fit guys too? Good chance. Also in the freebies is this cute little Rufus with hold animation.




Also starting today there is a hunt at both Bewitched and House of Heart. Larger pumpkins (but not big) and easier to find -- for me anyway. Some are $0 and some are dollarbies. This was my favorite hair of the HOH group. I have this already in reds so nice to have a different color.

While I was chatting with some of the other retailers last night in the Grid Wide Hunt group, I KNEW how I wanted to wrap up this world wind tour and gift hunt. Many of my readers won't recognize the humor here, but this Callie Cline rainbowa from the hunt is a sister to my famous -- or not so famous 15 minutes of glory. Later that same photo got me spot 11 if I recall correctly in Sexy Seconds magazine.

So when I had a chance to do a photo shoot with another bright feathery accessory, how could I pass it up? Boa by Callie Cline and hair by Truth (both from the hunt). Shoes by Juicy and pose by LAP.

I enjoyed the hunt immensely. I am most likely one of the very few people who experienced it from so many viewpoints -- retailer, hunter, photographer and blogger. As I retailer I sold a lot of dollarbies and a few of my most popular halter tops. And hopefully I made a few happy shoppers for the future. As a gatherer I enjoyed the challenges and sometimes the frustrations of the hunt. As a photographer I was thrilled to find a few more visually rich locales for photo shoots to come. And as a blogger, I am actually ready to move onward to new territory - LOL.

I hope you enjoyed the tour as much as I enjoyed showing you some of the sights.

So here I am in the backyard - so to speak - of *katat0nik* who is number 103. I got stuck towards the end but hope that my mentor can bail me out and that I can finish ALL the great places on this hunt. Meanwhile, here is the offering from a very popular store. Now *katat0nik* is not my personal style. We all have one and it is often an extremely personal thing. STILL, I can't help but applaud the work and the creativity that goes into these designs. They are indeed lovely! This outfit even came with the short boots (very cute). As I am busily typing this at her shop, there is a NEW RELEASE just out. Crowds are coming in and excitement is in the air. FUN!

With only fifteen more stops on the Ghost Buster tour to go, I took a break to go through the gifts I had found. Such lovely things. I had to take a picture of this fantastic lamp from Rustica. Very fairy tale; very lovely. Of course it would look better somewhere other than my beach - LOL. But we do what we need to do to get that photo. Also in this shot are jeans and belt by WoE and a primly sexy (Can you have that? Well I think this top does it.) short plaid top by Worldwide Industries.




The scultique pumps in purple came from Rebel Hope and are similar to the picks gift earlier in the month. They coordinate perfectly with the morte necklace from Sentou Yousei. The poses are by Vain from the hunt.

There are so many lovely thing, I obviously can't show you all of them. Horizon expanding continues this eve.

Ghost Busters is more than just hunting. I am finding some fantastic places to explore. I love Tableau! It took me awhile to find the ghost (silly me) but I didn't care -- there was so much to see. It is VERY laggy there right now, but in the very early morning it was fantastic. So many exciting photo ops and gorgeous textures.

So I am still in my Lazy Places boots (yes, I am sure I will take them off eventually) but added some new items from ghost numbers down the line. The Halloween witch with class dress complete with socks and hat is from Flunky, bangles from Ephemeral Creations, animated hair from Mia Snow (like you couldn't tell!) and the sparkler from Tableau Shopping.

Onward with my RL day, but I'll be back to explore some more soon. Have fun having fun guys.

I decided after viewing my last blog that I had gone over to the dark side - LOL. Too much "gather" and not enough beauty. So, tonight I went out again -- still in gather mode -- but with a better purpose.

First stop Lazy Places which I have always loved. I was SO surprised with the new build. Evidently I hadn't been there in awhile or this is new for Halloween? Not sure. Anyway their Ghost Buster ghost has some FANTASTIC!!!!!!!!!!! boots with resize scripts so good for guys and gals I am guessing. How cool is that.

Now the trick was to find some other Ghost Buster things -- hopefully in the places after Lazy Places -- to make a cool outfit.



And I did it. I'm so proud. Now I cheated just a bit and used some of my own black pants and gold halter as underthings, but most everyone has something that would work with this.

Most of all I got to take some cool photos at Lazy Places.




Here is the scoop on other things shown in this post. The very cool jacket is by LeeZu Baxter Designs and the Ghost Buster hat (small logo on the beanie) is by Lookr. Now that beanie was VERY VERY hard to find. So I'm going to give you a hint. There are actually pictorial instructions how to find the ghost at Lookr. Find them on the counter near the entrance. You will NEVER find it without those instructions. And if you aren't a good cammer (or crawler) the next stop on the Ghost tour is Haute Style and Co in Opium. (big wink).

This is one of several very nice poses by VAIN from the start of the hunt. I am wearing a tee by Vette's Boutique, Skin by Minnu (not easy to find -no camming), scarf and beret by Nova and hair by HOH (not in hunt).

Well I of course had a plan. And of course it went astray. Beat the hoards and the lag by starting at MY shop and work around to the end and THEN start at the beginning. That seemed prudent. Well it was to a point. Long story but I ended up at the beginning in the end - LOL. Here are a few things (no LM - you'll have to hunt for them yourself as part of the fun) that I especially liked. I think I am about a quarter through the hunt.

This is another VAIN pose, outfit by Frozen Turquoise Valentine, boots by She's So Unusual, Halloween skin by colorskin (ghost behind wall - tisk). The lizard on the top spans the back too. Cute!



This super cute statement making hairdo comes from IROLLIC, the top from Cupcakes and the exquisite but way too fragile to SEE necklace and earrings from Aluinn (if I remember correctly this was a smaller ghost than most :D).


The jeans, "don't label me" top and cute bandanna are from Ibizarre. The bracelets that you can't see too well are from [spork] and have red jewels on a black band. The bracelets are only part of the [spork] gift pack.

• Retox had some nice shirts mostly for the guys as well as other goodies.
• Tea Lane has a HUGE collection of skins, clothes, shoes, accessories and some DARLING hats in their gift -- too much to show really.
• There are several non clothing items of course including a lovely large gazebo, a bed, some colored lanterns and a cool tarot table (actually two) from Schadenfreude.
  

I also found a few great photo ops, some $30 black buckle boots I'm going to go back and revisit and some impressive builds. It was MUCH fun to find some stores I had never heard of before. So it was a fun three hours and I look forward to going back tomorrow.

Meanwhile, while I have more for show and tell, I am in "can't change clothes" mode so will quit while I still have some clothes on and catch up with ya tomorrow.

It the grid wide Ghost Buster Hunt Day. Yeah! I can't wait to try out Dove's fantastic pose pumpkin. The hunt starts at noon so we don't have long to wait. Until then though, you can get over to Mischief and search for jammie bottoms. Yes, I am wearing mine and I think they are quite presentable as pants. The jammies are found in spider webs inside the mischief shop. There are 13 pairs - not all with Halloween themes. I only picked up a few, but they are very nice and comfy. And comfy works for a day of hunting and gathering.

REBEL XTRAVAGANZA has a darling outfit in its lucky chair. I made several trips over there today and finally scored this eve. The outfit comes complete with hoodie and hair (a combo) OR if you have some favorite short hair of your own, it comes with JUST the hood. The pieces will be great for mixing and matching and the socks are outstanding. The sweater can work without the hood too. While you are at the shop, look at the free necklaces by the door. I got the crossed bone one and it is very cute. Now is a good time to go as there is a watch going on. Lots of folks there :D And you'll have time to peruse the goods for sale while you are waiting for an elusive "Q" to appear.



And in other news Rockberry gave out some lovely skins to the update group. I haven't tried them yet, but this is the natural color and it looks simply gorgeous!




The Ghost Buster's Hunt will be starting very soon -- testing in progress as I type this. I'll be reporting of course, but I thought you might want to know what Love Chic has inside the ghost at the shop.

I'd already made these even before I saw how popular the copper and brass dollarbie version is. So I suspect this model in cool silvers will be liked as well. A set of two is included. The shop is small so finding our bad, bad ghost should be very easy. Enjoy!

The Creaking Cauldron has some great Halloween themed gifts for you. First there is a duel skirted outfit -- long and tutu -- called Autumn Web. And since it is way more "Autumn" than "Halloween" it has staying power which is a plus (big wink). Find it in the Trick or treat bag at the foot of the stairs. You get the cute trick or treat bag too.

There is a trick or treat event going on at the Oak Tree Shops -- the home of Creaking Cauldron -- now with many of the shops having orange bags to buy. Most are $0 or $1 but I found one at $30 so don't click away without reading :D

Just a quick note to say thanks to whoever put my bangle bracelets on the "must have only for a dollar" list at some freebies group (big wink). You sell enough of these guys and it pays the rent and we are ALL happy. They are still available at the main shop only and it gets even better at the end of the week.

I found a few exciting goodies out there today. Here is a list and a few pics.


These boots are probably my biggest find. Now, I want to be fair here as they did not FIT all that well so some time on a pose stand might be needed. The boots themselves though are lovely. They have small "logo" tags on the back but look more like designer tags than logowear so I am guessing most of you will be fine with that. These are MOD. :D

They are from the Clove Main Store and the mall is having a pumpkin hunt as well. Find the BOOTS however, on the second floor. Click the SALE sign and buy for $0. Like ya really needed to know that to find them ? (big grin) Yep, ya did.



The cute witches hat with purple accents (goes with the Lala FooFoo current (I hope still current) freebie -- is from the same shop. Find it proudly displayed near the TP point in a box.

The glasses are from Dark Mouse at the Retrology Hunt. I went over there to find the slayer belt that someone blogged. I should LEARN that Retrology hunts don't actually have all there goodies out at start time (wink). Anyway I did NOT find the slayer belts (yes, hints would be appreciated) but I did find the other two DM offerings. These retro glasses are quite cute for sure.

Also of note, there are some nice turquoise eyes (small size) out at EarthStones. Follow the signs that say eyes, They are way in the back away from the jewelry in a large vendor under the eyes for sale.

And there is a nice set of five poses for free at DK Designs. Find them RIGHT at the tp point. One is "for guys" but girls could still use it.

It all started with a necklace from Sanu that I picked up yesterday for a linden. Of the three color choices, I bought the pink one. Then the question was what to wear it with. Hmm. Pink. Dress. Oz dress from Sn@tch. Yep. That works.



Then as things will have it, a friend told me about this great hat place. Now I am not a hat girl all that often. Still, I have to admit this is a VERY cool hat and I like being a girlie girl now and then. The hats shown are both from Hatpins. Mine is a group gift (join and touch the vendor) and my gal friend's was in the lucky chair in the Haute Couture shop. Both Hatpins shops have lucky chairs with one prize. I won the prize in the other shop but that's for another post. They both also have 90 minute camp chairs for some very cute hats. There are demos and dollarbies and it's just generally a fun place to explore.



Beni is also wearing a Sn@tch dress; I tped her in for a lucky chair sit and this is the Cha Cha set :D. I particularly like the ruffles on the top. Cute! The hat she is wearing was a lucky chair item at the Haute Couture store. And so we both ended up in girlie attire!

And here is the necklace that started the journey.

Lion skins has just unveiled ten new makeups. The ones I am showing you here are all in the pale skin tone and from the Suzana line. As with all skins, the look depends on our shapes as well as our preferences. I remember reading one skin review where the skin was fantastic simply because of the belly button (wink). I will say that I was particularly impressed with the rendering of the ears. These often get overlooked and sometimes simply need to be hidden under hair. Not these!

The NEWS here however is the makeup -- our face is what we typically show the world most often after all. These range into the specialty category but with a change in hair and perhaps eyes some could move all the way into fantasy if that is your intent.

Laggy now as people have awakened from their late Saturday eves no doubt. Still fun once you rez.

There are early treats out there even for our WICKEDEST witches (see above) . HOH has an expanded hair release pack at its customer service desk. Two new hairs have been added including Bewitched above and Sweeny Todd (see below). Shown with the Batty Girl skin from SLink's current lucky chair.

It is difficult to imagine a place further away in time, place and theme from Retrology than The Stringer Mausoleum. And yet I enjoy them both for their sense of vision. If you haven't been to TSM, then an adventure may be in order. Now is the perfect time as there is an event going on. Find the small ghosts and get some good stuff. The ghosts come in different colors and there is an explanation board near the tp point. You can find hair and eyes for gals, guys and unisexuals (wink). There is rumor of a store card, but I didn't find it.



It isn't a big place but there is a lot of GLOW which while interesting in atmosphere makes hunting and gathering a bit tricky. I suggest that you will have an easier time if you turn your graphics to low under the preferences tab. There are great animations here so try a few seats while you cam around. Of my finds, this was my favorite. It comes in at least two of the ghosts as I have four colors. The goggles are optional but I really love them.



And when you REALLY want to get wild, you can go for this unisex style. Woot! I know some of my blogging buddies will love this.

Retrology is having a sim wide pumpkin hunt. Just touch the smallish pumpkins to get your treat -- or in some cases a trick. There are some lovely gifts here. I found mostly outfits for women but there were some unisex items also. There are a lot more shops to explore than during the last hunt, so you'll have some new experiences. Always fun!



It's bound to get laggy as the day begins for our hunter and gathering folks, so wear your low prim gear. You can rez a scooter if you want to travel with ease, but there are some spots where a scooter just won't take you. So walking is good exercise too.



This is just a small portion of the items available. I can see from the vendor list, that I missed a lot. But YOU can take your time and find them all. Yep you can!

Joyful Designs has some goodies for you. Especially if you are new and need a pose stand and some poses to begin your collection -- there is a free multi-pose stand with Joyful poses and you can get a new one to add each week. Find this big pink poster right inside the door to the left a bit. There is an explanation to the side. There is a free dress at the door and some other free goodies scattered around too.


But what I am PERSONALLY excited about is the beanie and hair upstairs in the free section. It comes in four colors I think. I so love it.

Are ya ready for some fun? LaynieWear and SYD: Style Your Destiny have merged into one brand called ~Tea Lane~. And it's their grand opening and a mega hunt. 60 candy corns are hidden in their stores (both new and old). Each candy is a dollar. They are fairly large and easy to find. And what's inside? Clothes and hair and skin and eyes. Oh my!

Here is just a sampling of some of the things you will find. I have named the styles so that you have some idea when you are hunting -- each style of hair for example comes in different colors so there is more than one. And the skins are all very different.

There are crying skins and slasher skins and mime skins and BRIGHT eye shadow skins (I like those a lot). So have a great time out there hunting and gathering. I'm sure you'll find some things you like.

Candy Nail has moved to its own sim and to celebrate they are giving away a set of nails in several colors - brown, blue, orange, red and violet. And if you are really into nails, there is a very lovely looking abstract gradient set that comes as a picks prize.

The red nylons and bikini panties you can't see came from REJUDOR which is one of the stores in the Candy Nail mall. Free.

It is so much fun to have so many choices of looks this holiday. Just out last night, SLink has three new specialty skins in its lucky chair. I spent some time there at the watch party last eve and got this bruised doll skin right away. Extra time didn't get me ghoul or batty however. The chair changes every 5 minutes, so stop by and check for your letter. This comes with a brow shaper.


And PXL gave out a new pale skin with mask to its group members as a picks prize. Linda with blade makeup is definitely an eye catcher :D



And of course there is Tuli's gift of last eve which came in two skin tones and with and without Halloween web. I love the lipstick :D I think this is my favorite of all the Tuli skins so far (wink).

If you haven't gone over to the Loco Pocos trick or treat town, you still have plenty of time. It really is tons of fun. I didn't find the key yet, but I might. Still, even if you don't keep knockin' on every door, you get a great pumpkin and lots of treats. Over 1,000 avatar sets have been given away. Wow! Find the tp to the Halloween town right near the landing point.


If you want to carve your own pumpkin, you can head over to Charming Poses and get a complete set up including pose and wearable scooping spoon. Find it on the second floor in the middle of the room.

You can find some just for fun sunglasses in three colors at Shop the Joker -- a Japanese store. There is also a bunny outfit that I didn't try. The boxes are at the doorway.

Ethereal PIxels Designs has a new release called Reveries. It comes with a jaunty beret -- scripted for easy resizing as well as a large assortment of pant lengths so you can wear this outfit with boots.

There are many colors to choose from and they are on sale now for a very reasonable price. Even better, this version is free for a limited time. As with all the Ethereal Designs I have blogged, this is lovely with careful attention to detail. There are other gifts too, right inside the door near this vendor. The other colors are prominently displayed near the entrance. So if you love the outfit, you can easily get another color.

ALB DREAM FASHION has a cute pack of socks with sculpty tops for an October gift. I got these long ago (bad girl) and forgot to blog them (bad, bad girl). The pack comes with a variety of colors. There are other gifts around and about including some devil skins. I found the one for guys but not the one for gals. So be good little sleuths and you never know what you might find.

There is a pumpkin hunt "all over Tully" according to the post from Fashcon. Now some parts of Tully are private or locked but there is still plenty to explore. There are 18 scuplted pumpkins filled with goodies. Most pumpkins I found had several versions of an item or a full outfit. I didn't find many, but they were very nice.





The pumpkins contain both hair and clothes with many items unisex or made for guys. How 'bout that fellows? Yeah.

Seldom Blue has the hottest limited time offer on the street this afternoon -- IMHO. This is the new Petra gown in red. It comes in a variety of luscious colors, but this one is FREE right now. So get over there (wink). It comes with undies also but Phil's hardware and software are preventing me from showing you. I at least got these photos. And if you have to be stuck in something, this isn't a bad thing to be stuck in (big wink).




Be alerted that all the texture parts including pants are marked with a shirt icon. This was confusing to me as I thought I was missing parts. If you read the descriptions however, you will work it out.

Zaara has a lovely dress in her lucky chair. It is a red version of recent design. I was lucky enough to win this beauty. According to her website, it has been available since the 2nd. I completely missed the announcement though and just found it by dropping by. Dropping by is a GOOD thing.



Also at Zaara's - you can pick up a set of free henna "gloves". Find them in the entryway where there are other gifts from other times if you missed them.




On the other side of the grid, Maleeka has a chunky necklace as a gift for you. And while you are there, check the lucky chair. It spewed out three "?"s in a row while I was there.



The lucky chair gift actually comes with a babydoll skirt, but I personally preferred it with just the leggings.

Another Shop by the Side of the Road isn't even that any longer. I had to chuckle when I found the boxes with the new Eloh Eliot skins (all for free) sitting in a pile of snow. The same weather effects were still in evidence, but the shop was gone to be replaced by a crevasse. Such fun!




I lived in the first version of Eloh skins most of my life. My profile picture still has my two month old snapshot which I can't seem to give up. So I was so happy to find that the new versions were finally out. For those of you even younger than I am (and actually I have a rez day coming up in the not too distant future), Eloh Eliot rocked Phil's world by not only giving away great skins for free -- but giving away the active Photoshop files too. So designers had a starting place.



There was much talk, mostly good and she won an award for the most influence (sorry I forgot all the details) of 2007. Anyway, that's the backstory and these are some of the new skins. I was a bit slow with all my rezzing problems and I am only showing you a few. You can get them HERE -- in the snow for free.



The skins within the four skin tones have names and come in different brow colors, with and without freckles. These are from the tan series.

Looks like another problematic morning for me anyway. Hopefully the new week will bring fixes.

I can't help you with rezzing issues, but for any of the rest of you having problems with TPing from place to place (generally estate land to estate land it seems), I have a tip from an old timer.

A work around is to TP to somewhere on the continent or any place else you find will act as a transfer point and THEN go on to your next stop. This works for getting HOME also. So try a couple of spots in your picks and find one that will work as a depot of sorts. Happy adventures.

It's been a long day. What's a girl to do. Too much shopping, sight seeing and gathering will simply tire you out. But even if you have had a long one and simply want to put your hair in curlers and relax, you can make ONE more trip to Fukmi Clothing.



Contrary to its name, it is not a bordelloesce store (wink). In fact the owner has an interesting philosophy of making all her designs in the same color palette for the season. So everything goes with everything -- more or less. There is outwear as well as this cute set of undies. And this pink version of the just out design is free. Just touch the large vendor prominently displayed in the front of the store.

The set includes bikini panties, bra, camisole and boy short as well as socks. There are a variety of layers so you can add your tattoos or whatever easily.

It's been a tough day in Phil's Place. After lounging on my couch for awhile topless with an odd mixture of pants #1 and #2 co-mingled on my lower bod, I tried relogging for the twentieth time to end up as a -- can we cringe here? CLOUD. Alas.




There were certainly plenty of hunting and gathering possibilities, freebies, dollarbies and gifts today. Of them all, I pick this oh so cute bumblebee outfit from Dernier Cri. Find it outside the shop by the pumpkins. You get pumpkins and hay bales included.




And just as I was getting ready to post this I noticed a note about boots and actually READ it (gasp) to find that there are free boots at the Katat0nik store on Axis Mundi. And indeed there are including sizes for GUYS. There are also some giant footed legwarmer styles in a myriad of colors. I may have simply been under a rock and missed that these were out there. If you were in the neighboring rock, well now you know too.



I did get over to Juicy for their birthday celebration that has been well blogged. I, personally wanted to thank the pose makers and other content creators there who also gave generously. I especially loved the poses from VAGO. The meditation flower is way cute if you have the space for it, and I simply LOVE my new dining set with a choice of poses from Echo. So thanks guys.

How many creepy crawly black spiders can you find? Well if you are a tattoo fiend, you'll want to spend some time at moloko - and urban grunge neko establishment :D There's a hunt going on and black spiders of various sizes hold the prizes.



There are 10 free UNISEX prizes all. I think I found about five. There are some very cool -- in an urban grunge sort of way -- decorations to peruse while looking and lots of interesting accessories and the like if you are in a buying mood.




There are single tattoos and packs of them and in spider number one there is a full body bloody tattoo which seems like it just might come in handy SOMETIME. You just never know!

I've added some accessories to the shop in the form of oh so cute book belts. They come with gemstone buckles, silver accents and flexi ties. The small book is finely detailed and could be a book of magic, a diary, a "little black book" -- your choice.

There is a ruby as well as an opal version. Each comes in a set of two for attaching at different points (spine and stomach). Leggings are included for free.

The October dollarbie spider top is still available if you missed it last week.

Need your own personal cauldron? Well you can get one at the Popfuzz store. It's by Panjen and I found it when I went over to get one of the two dollarbie hoodies on sale for a limited time. These sweatshirts are regularly priced at$250. There is another color besides orange. Find them both in the middle of the floor in boxes. This is NOT an on the wall hunt :D The hoodie comes with both up and down sculpty hood prims.



I picked orange because after all it is ORANGE season. Shown here with one of the new Halloween House of Heart hairs. The hat is removable for AFTER the holidays. This is one of my favorite colors, so I am a happy girl. These are free and on the service counter up front by the entrance. There is also a sculls hair and a bat hair.



Also shown is the Glamor skin from Popfuzz. Previously blogged, you can find it right next to the hoodies. There are three color choices and these specials sell for one Linden. I took a shot with my eyes closed so you could see the lovely eyeshadow. Do you really believe that? LOL. Nope, it was just an accident but a nice one.

Earring from the Cutting Class adventure at Pulse (see last night's post).

Cutting Class at Pulse (the adventure) is much like a computer adventure game. There are clues and puzzles, mazes and things that go bump in the night. There is a storyline and a mystery and there is an ENDGAME. Being a consummate gamer from way back, I enjoyed it all. Much more interactive than a PC game as other gamers were right there with you.

You get a hud which makes the client screen look a lot like a wide screened movie. And you get a flashlight. Actually you need to buy that outside the building. It's free. There are numerous "levels" to the game and you complete one to move onward (but not necessarily upward - LOL). It is NOT easy, but it is way fun and even just going and exploring is a reward in itself.

But still, I bet you REALLY want to see the bootee for "making it through alive". And here is some of the endgame rewards.

I REALLY wanted to take some screenshots of the adventure, but decided that would just spoil it all. So you only get to see the prizes for making it through. Take some friends -- a few heads are better than one unless you are just very very crafty.

From *Illuminati* we have Bara no Seidou which I believe is unisex; It comes with fluffy furry tail and twitchy ears. I didn't have any ears. I do now :D VERY nice.

There are plenty of non wearable prizes too including Halloween decorations, shapes, shoes for gals, hat for guys and unisex jewelry.

If you read this blog very often you know that my personal estimation of a good hunt includes, good prizes, great local to explore and not TOO much hunting. Well the Passionate Neko has it all. 15 pumpkins in and around the main store and Halloween shop hold all sorts of fun holiday inspired dollarbies. You can see some of the goodies here. When I saw this post on the feed, I couldn't wait to get over there. Phil's minions weren't being too helpful and I had to relog twice and tp to other locales but I eventually GOT there and oh what a fun place.

You are looking for pumpkins like the one in the back of the building. Obviously they are NOT hidden. Just explore and you will find many. Prizes shown include the skully dress, Count Chocula belt (there are several belts to choose from) and the BOOTS. Did I mention BOOTS! HOHOHO. Much to see and explore and great photo ops for Halloween with all sorts of interesting pose balls in evidence.

I ventured over to Hairspray 2 again this eve after all the celebratory events were over to see what I could see -- or find if the hunt was still on. I didn't find any gold stars or mention of them anywhere so that may be over, but I DID find a nice table of freebies and dollarbies and picked up a couple to show you. The photo above is taken right in front of Savoir Hair at the main tp point.


This is one of the outfits (and a vintage style hair I didn't show you yet as there were SO many to choose from). The dress and oh so cute hat are all in a package from Laynie Link. The hair is Vintage Vixen from Kitty Pidgeon who I am guessing from her picks owns JetDoll. The shoes are from :: 69 and the pose from LAP.

Is that me smiling!?!?!?

Yep. And while it could be because there are new Bewitched Hair gift releases just out -- it is also because I found this very cool [SI] Photo Emotions HUD at A. D Studios. It let's you REALLY tell the world how you are feeling. It has an easy user interface that fits on the side of your screen as a HUD. Then just click on and off the emotions. Be SURE and click off the one you were using though - LOL. I was madly clicking assuming the former emotion would go away. NOT! The things my face could do!



The only problem I found at all was with my eyelashes. Some of the emotions don't work well with prim lashes. I can live with that and take them off. Or I guess if I was a real die hard, I could adjust the eyelashes. That's doubtful for me though.


Here is the interface and a couple more examples of emotions. The HUD sells for $100 and you get THREE copies. And they are transfer. Be good to your best friends -- SHARE the fun!


PS. There is also a redo of some earlier Bewitched hair that had problems so pick that up right next to the poster with these pictured.

We know Hairspray 2 is all about hair, but there are some clothes too. Some at Savoir Hair and some at Mirada. I wanted to show you a couple examples of things I found. This first number is from Prim Play and was in a gift bag from Savoir Hair. The hair is from there too of course from a "Coming Soon" gift (bag I think). Me likes it :D I added some pink boots by Journey to complete the fun look. Pose by LAP from the OZ Hunt still in progress.


From the Mirada wall of freebies, I found this very nicely textured shirt. It skims the body for a svelte look. The pants included are to the knee so most likely not in my list of all time favorites, but the shirt will go with tons of things. Yeah! It is called Schools Over - by Damien Fate. So don't forget that there is more to the new Hairspray than hair (wink).

I have an eclectic mix of goodies to tell you about this eve. First off thanks so much to Gabby Panacek for posting about the Callie Cline broom. It is SO cool. I have been a Cal Gal a couple of times, but I have to admit the constant chatter does me in and so I leave. I will no doubt come back into the fold again, but I didn't KNOW and I SO LOVE this broom. It has a great pose albeit a bit "off" for the six foot me and the flexi broom tails are fantastic. Find it in a box not far from the entrance.

Next we have some new boots from Samara Studios in the shoe store. Nope, not free but $25 instead of $295 so that is a big discount. They are Halloween specials of course and go very nicely with the $25 outfit I blogged from there last week (worn in picture).

The hair is yet another great freebie from Hairspray 2 (see previous post). And the PLACE? If you haven't been to new Trails, you simply must come. It is so lovely. It's a long story how I got here but the photo-shoot possibilities are fantastic and there is a lucky board. No, not fashion but some cool things including those pumpkins in the background.


This is the setting for the lucky board. You hardly mind waiting at all here. I won three giant crystals with particles. Very pretty. They are transfer so if you don't need all of them, you can give away the others for presents. The pumpkin set comes with individual pumpkins as well as a ready-made grouping which is so cute. These are mod - copy. I know that as a friend won TWO sets - LOL. Oh well. I don't have enough prims in any of my shops for decorations anyway.

That's me -- lounging and camming in the new Savoir Hair shop at Hairspray 2. I really felt like a kid in a candy store when I got an early pass to see the new Sim. It is as bright and colorful as its predecessor and has a wonderful gift store at Savoir Hair. Getting to take my time to peruse without the hoards was a real pleasure (wink). So many lovely gifts from so many great designers.


Right across the way you can find a wall of free goodies and dollarbies at Mirada. There's a lucky chair too and of course lots of other great stuff. The sim is vast and I got lost twice. It abuts Hairspray so it seems to go on forever -- and that ain't bad. A whole LAND of hair. There is also a Stars of Hairspray hunt happening sometime soon. The sim opens tomorrow at 6 pm I believe -- at least there is a big party then.

Meanwhile here are a few hairs from Savoir Hair's wall of fantastic freebies. Quite a few of my favorites from the hair fair were there, so if you missed them, this is a great way to pick them up. Again, this is JUST a few of MANY MANY. My taste and style might not be yours.

Diversity Hair (now Diversity Hair / AD Designs) has a brand new store! They now have SKINS as well as with the usual hair and clothing. To celebrate this new build, they are holding a 48 hour hunt where 15 skins are hidden around the NEW Store , that's 3 different skins in 5 tones, two are themed skins and one is the natural make up skin.


You are looking for SMALL BRIGHT YELLOW stars with black eyes. While they are small they are so brilliantly yellow that you can see them from far away. That was a good thing as I was there in the middle of the lag (down to my shorts, shirt and shoes sans hair) and the lag was WAY bad. Not the stores fault -- just all the decked out people. I am talking MEGAPRIM city (wink).



Eventually I moved far enough to get an assortment to show you and they are definitely nice. I especially like the DARK skins and the star burst eye make up is a winner with me too. The skin tone range is vast from almost white to this very chocolaty color. So there is likely a version for you. One style of skin is "everyday" without any specialty makeup.




The hunt lasts for 48 hours so you have plenty of time to get there and explore. I am wearing BRAT from their hair department. I am not sure if this is new, but I didn't recognize it, so perhaps. If you want to get any of their 1 Linden hair, you need to click on the small MEGA portion of the vendor. Something happened and things (at least when I was there) weren't working quite as they should.

Liberty Fashion has the cutest (well at least VERY original and I seem to love it) Halloween outfit for free. It has a super cape that flows nicely and has a very tall collar a la Bella Lugosi. You can detach the pumpkin head and wear hair of course and there are TONS of possibilities with accessories. Find it right at the entrance to the store. In case you can't tell, that's me on the left.



Vanity body has a great wicked witch skin for you for free. A fun way to bring out the hidden ghoul inside. LOL. [Pose by Torridwear.]



AND while you are there, pick up this very cute dress very close to the skin. The hot pink eyes are included in the outfit. [Pose by LAP]





DaneMarkZ is having a hunt at her store through the month. Look for the mini pumpkins inside the store and in the yard. There is a notecard vendor at the store entrance with all the info. The pumpkins are tiny, but the shop is fairly small, so that all works :D I found five. My lounging in the yard outfit above shows you the pumpkin jeans, pumpkin shoes, pumpkin top and belt (came with a longish skirt too) and some cool nylons. I also found some animated eyes (LOL) and another pair of nylons. Happy hunting.

Just a quickie to let you know that Popfuzz Bamboo has three of her skins out for a linden each. Find them in the middle of the floor in boxes. This is the middle tone with light and dark versions also available.

And the choker I am wearing is from Historical Heroines. It goes PERFECTLY with the Sn@tch Oz dress. Woot! There is a dedicated TP landing point so you will need to watch the map coordinates and fly to the shop. It is FAR away. Several other people got there after I did though (I win - I win) so it is doable. It is mod so you can adjust it if you have a fat neck like mine. There is a brown version also and it is FREE.

And now I'm putting my top back on and going to watch some streaming TV -- and you can figure out just WHO is topless at the moment (wink).

I journeyed back over to the Magic of Oz this afternoon to see if there were more goodies to find. All those green slippers where haunting me (wink). And I am SO glad I did. It was work, but FUN work and I really know my way around Oz now which is good.

I found most, but not all of the gifts. You can click on a LARGE GREEN board at the landing area to get a list of everything. I am showing you quite a few more things here, but there is a lot more jewelry and also a "headdress". I didn't find the headdress but saw a large group of people with them on.

The dress is from Sn@tch and is in a red slipper but one that is static. That's all I'm telling. If you wander around long enough you will find it. It, and the green slippers are in plain sight. They are not hidden at all although there is SO much to see in Oz that you are often on visual overload :D




The crystal hair comes in many even more colors than I found before and the glasses come in different metals. I may have had several copies before and simply didn't notice that. The shoes stick around for five minutes or so and then disappear. If you mouseover them you can see what is in the slipper (lag permitting) and so if you already have it you can LEAVE it for someone else. It took me awhile to figure that out.

I especially like the green necklace shown above that came with a bracelet as well as the earrings which are actually a "Z" inside an "O". Each earring has a slightly different style.

And of course the dress from Sn@tch and the poses from LAP. I think this is the most fun and best hunt since Retrology and that was super.

So get there if you are a hunter and gatherer and if you can. You still have time.

The Oz Hunt is underway. Find the ruby slippers (and some green ones too although I didn't see any of those). Lots of fun and great exploring. Here is my booty -- all OZed themed. I have three versions of the hair and three versions of eyes and three sets of poses from LAP. A happy girl here. AND I found some places I missed the other night. Ah the photo shoot possibilities (wink).

OK. So I'll show you the Dollarbie first. No need to scroll through :D This is a Halloween Spider top based on my basic long sleeved style. A varigated orange background host some creepy crawly things. Wear it if you dare. Find it at the NEW (actually my old) shop in Deulchangil or at Santo City (role play - grab a visitor tag and turn left following the beam) which seems to be working out well (who'd a thunk it?)



Since the burnout outfit was so popular, I've made it in the other basic neutral - gray with dark gray velvet slacks. The belt is now silver. Same style.

That's the news. I've decided to return to my old shop but not try and have something new each and every week for Fashcon. Not into the pressure of it all. So I'll post any new outfits here for those that shop (wink) and I'll try and remember to put the dollarbies and specials first. The good news is that I now have PRIMS to spare -- for a little while anyway.

When the name Indigo comes up in fashion, most thoughts turn to Lemania Indigo. I was very impressed with her vision at Glam, and so I went to her store for the first time today.

I love the eclectic nature of her sim; it mirrors her designs. There are many buildings to explore here as well as two lucky chairs -- in different parts of the sim.

There will be a giant 30 item dollarbie hunt coming up in a week or so. You can read about it at her blog. There are also group gifts each week it seems.



I am fairly sure that the dollarbies I photographed are NOT new. Still, if you love them and don't have them -- they are new to YOU. I found them in the small cabin-like buildings on the far side of the island. There is a lucky chair there with NEW items. Enjoy

I had a good morning at Pulse. First I found the on the wall item (a set of many colors actually) at Sn@tch, then I took a walk around the area and found a nice cup of coffee with animation for a linden at the Sugar Mill kiosk. I know that cups of coffee abound but this one is tasteful and seems to fit in the hand better, or maybe it is the animation as Sugar Mill has poses as well as other items. Anyway I am enjoying a restful cup o joe on my skybox patio. It's been a busy morning.



And while I was searching for the freebie at Sn@tch, I won this very nice Ankh necklace. And it goes with my other goodies. I always LIKE it when coordination happens naturally.

I am SURE there will be even more going on this weekend but I wanted to alert you to two party - hunt venues I heard about.

First, there is a grand opening party at Archipeligo Wild from Saturday from 10am-3pm SLT. I am not sure where the hunt starts, but you can tp HERE if you like and journey on from there. This is the old (and maybe again?) Nuclear Boutique sim with a whole new look, so it will be fun to explore.

Treasure Hunt Prizes donated by the new shops located on Archipelago Wild, and prize drawings including clothes from Bellissima!, Zullay Designs, and 2 winners will win L$500.

And at the Magic of Oz sim (see previous post) there is a weekend long hunt with a variety of parties to attend. This a beautiful place to explore so I am sure you will have fun. COME ALMOST NAKED as it is sure to be crowded and rezzing could be a problem.

We've got a ton of things going on for the sim opening Friday and Saturday. Tonight we have a Wicked party at the Witch's Castle with a Spooky/Goth theme with DJ December Dollinger from 6-9 SLT. Come dressed like you belong with the Flying Monkeys, mwahahaha! Prizes for Creepiest Outfit and Best Witch!

Saturday the hunt continues all day and then at 6 pm SLT meet us at the Emerald City for a Masquerade Ball! The Theme is the Sim itself, so come Green and Sparkly, Dark and Spooky, or Bright and Colorful! Wear masks for prizes! Prizes given for Best Costume - Male and Female.

Sunday we still have the hunt all day - and Sunday night at 6 pm SLT is the Dead Wizard party, because your gracious hosts will probably be nearly dead by that point ;) Come in your fashionable best, or a potato sack, we don't care! More free gifts randomly distributed - and a special surprise event at 7 SLT!

I was invited to the preview party of the new Oz sim -- happening now actually, but we all know I am a photographer first and a participant second (wink).

The sim is indeed lovely with fantastic textures and a liberal use of sculpties. The photo ops are endless.

There are shops here too which I didn't realize and a club or two in the works. So, lots to see and do when it opens. Keep your eye out. I think it is SOON. Here is a landmark for when it is open to the public.

Je t'aime has a new gift just out. Find it here. It took me a couple of tries as the stores are SO vast. It comes with a black bra top. A long black sweater would be an optional partner :D if you are not into so much skin. Shown with HOH hair and Juicy shoes. Pose by VAIN.



Luxurious World has a new dress in its group camping chair. It's a cute little number and might be perfect for a backdrop to all the fun accssories you will be picking up this month. The top and skirt also stand alone well on their own for mixing and matching possibilities. While I was lucky enough to get a copy without the 30 minute sit, the chair is easy to find. It is right inside the door to the left along the glass wall.


While you are at Luxurious World, you might want to pick up the winter dollarbie sweater in rose. It comes in both shirt and jacket layers and has a nice bulky knit texture. I paired it with the men's leather pants from Night Spirit (picks gift).

And there is a fun shopping street nearby so some exploring may be in order.

So I really wanted this shopping bag full of candy from the new ::69 Halloween prize campers (see earlier post). Alas when I returned that chair was filled but the necklace / flying pumpkin was free. So there I sat.

WHY did I think I didn't want this? Silly, silly girl. This is much fun. There are star particles which I think you can turn off, but I didn't try. It hovers and you can ride it easily with the cursor keys. I had to use Stop All Animations when I got off, but otherwise it worked just fine!



Along with the flying pumpkin key comes a pumpkin key necklace with two attachment points. A fun Halloween accessory.

Haute Style & Co. has their new gift of the month out. It is a very cute detailed top with some tan pants. The pants have prim bellbottoms but you could easily leave those off and have pants for boots. It IS coming into boot season after all. The gifts are at both stores. I got mine at Tropical Escape :D


The pictures were taken at the new ::69 group camp area. I love how the colors worked so well. The camp was set up this morning and as I understand it the group is closed until the 7th when it will open up and those of you NOT in the ::69 group will have a chance to join.



There was a fairly good crowd this morning right after the group notice. I scored a spot at the hair chair and got some fun bright colors for the Halloween season. All the prizes are Halloween themed accessories. There is a fun grocery bag filled with candy that I hope to get soon.



The hair is color change and there are a variety of bright colors as well as black to choose from.

You can get a cute sweater for free (limited time) at Marianna's Pulli-shop. I am being a good girl and blogging this EARLY as they had a cute hat yesterday for free and while I took a picture I never posted (bad - bad girl). This looks like a very fun ski village so explore a bit!

Edit: I can see from the vendor ad that the cowl part of this sweater is supposed to have the same pattern as the body of the sweater. So far, the texture has not appeared but it still looks pretty nice :D



Truth has three new dollarbie hairs out. Find them along the wall under the $1 L sign. This was my favorite but there is another cute side pony as well as a unisex short style. This hair comes with a pink polka dot band. I just modified it to match the sweater.

Up in the night, I ventured over to Vanity Universe to wander around the Expo. Quiet in the darkness, I took my time and explored. This is a great place to get a taste of the different designers, and I admit there were some names I didn't recognize. All good!




My personal rule on this trip was not to buy all of the myriad of dollarbies, $5 and $10 specials and the like. My second rule was not to buy sight unseen grab bags. Now this no doubt means that I missed a LOT of GREAT stuff. But it is also a given that my wardrobe overfloweth -- what with my hunting and gathering to blog and the lovely gifts from designers. So it's not like I actually needed anything (well there is still that black buckle boot problem - wink).




But even within those rules I can give you a sampling of the the wealth of talent of the designers in the show. If these are their freebies, imagine how lovely their regular merchandise is.



Of the items shown here, the only one I paid for was the Glam Warrior by Lemania Indigo which you can ONLY get at the expo. That was a show stopper (wink). $1 Linden :D

Prism Haute Couture Clothing Run has put out a super cute winter outfit - not a big surprise as Journey is great with the details. It's free for 24 hours. Find it on a large vendor up by the models. I'm looking forward to the snow season at Phil's Place if not in my other life. So much warmer and just as pretty. There is a matching green print muffler with the set but since it was too big and no mod I left it off. Plenty cute without it.




So, anxious to try out my new look, I went in search of some skiing. I ended up at Wolf Creek a the Wolf Mountain Ski Resort which was TONS of fun. Not only that, I got these really cute ski boots and poles for free. The ski garb is at the top of the ski lift. Just follow the big sign - visible from the landing point - and then hop on the lift. A fun ride gets you to the top and the free boots. THERE IS A SIZE FOR GUYS TOO! So take your honey with ya. The boots come with leggings as well as wool sock (not shown).




Getting down the run is just as much fun. Any static pose will do. Just use your cursor keys! WHEEEEEEE!

October is here and with it a new - EMPTY - picture folder on my hard drive (whew)! So many pictures and I love 'em all. Vain Inc. Magazine #14 is out! And my blog made the fashion blogger spotlight (happy dance). Thrilled to be number 4 in the lineup with a ton of other very talented fashionistas. What a great way to start off the month.




And in other personal new month news, I have a shop at Santo City, a role play sim. I admit that I am not sure where I fit into the design world. I fluctuate between wanting more space for my outfits and wanting to blog all the wonderful things others are making. (Insert sigh here.) Eventually I'll figure it all out. If you come by, be sure and pick up a visitor's tag at the tp point. Turn left out of the building, past the church and then left again on the fashion street. I am across from the deli. A new experience for me. It's all good.
